I have difficulty with finding out the year this bible was published, as there are 2 dates given under the licence announcement; 1839 and 1885. Then, in the family announcements section, the first entry is dated 1879. The bible was published by The National Bible Society of Scotland. The condition is antique with various signs of age and use. The black leather cover has detached one side of the spine, with some wear and tears. First couple of inside pages are detached, and the rest of the book has intact binding with some age-related browning to the pages. Bible measures 9" x 6" x 2.5" approx.
