Description: A nice solid pair of sterling silver open salts with liners. They are a classic Georgian shape of a curved oval with repousse scalloped shell design. The liners are hand blown glass of a pale turquoise blue creating the effect that one is looking through the salts, (see photos). They are both hallmarked with the silversmith's initials WA (for William Aitken) the sheaves for Chester, the lion and the date letter N for 1896.The weight of the silver alone is 74 grams.They are both in perfect condition with no flaws!The oval is 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide. they are 1 1/2" tall at the ends and 1 1/4" tall in the middle of the oval boat shape.All special items are triple wrapped, double boxed, tracked and insured for delivery to you.
