Description: A lovely, ornately, decorated horn/antler-handled fish serving knife and fork. The ferrules are sterling silver and are stamped with a crown (Sheffield), lion passant (sterling silver), date letter e (1897) and the maker’s mark CB (William Beatson & Sons). The front of the knife is stamped with 3 separate letters ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘S’ which I’m unsure of the meaning (it may indicate that the blade is silver plate – but I don’t know as there are no similar marks on the fork). The fronts of the items are decorated with a lovely floral design. The fish knife is 34 cm in length and the fork is 26 cm.
