Antique 18thC Meissen Porcelain Bruehlsches Allerlei Plate Porzellan Teller #2

Description: For sale is a superb plate made by Meissen in the mid 18th century . It is not often that one sees a plate with this design from the 18th century - more common are the newer examples which are still quite stunning! The plate has a rim design called Brühlsches Allerei which includes a large hand painted floral arrangement in the center as well as a few smaller flowers spread around and a very fancy reticulated rim with lots of flowers and gold highlights. Each reticulated area is different with three that are more plain with just a touch of gilding and three more that are in the shape of a floral arrangement with each flower hand painted perfectly! The Bruehlsches Allerlei design is one of the nicest rim designs one can own by Meissen - it was originally made for Count von Bruehl . The edge has a purple ground color to it which is a bit unusual and a nice touch! The plate is in superb condition which is always a bonus. Just a touch of wear to the gilding on the outer edge and stacking wear to one flower (the small purple one) as shown. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the bottom ends which dates to around 1760 and the usual impressed marks,etc. one finds on Meissen of this period. The plate is 1.75 inches tall and 10.25 inches in diameter which is a very nice size.
