Antique 1918 Corona Model 3 Folding Portable Manual Typewriter SEE DETAILS

Description: This antique Corona model 3 portable manual typewriter (serial #144230) comes in good to very good cosmetic condition, with minor finish wear (chips and a few scratches), minor surface rust haze to some of the plated parts, discoloration to the key button tops, one ribbon spool cap and nut MISSING, hardening and deformation to the rubber feet (one foot is chipped), and minor soiling from previous use and storage, (see pictures). The unit has good action on all the keys and carriage movements, though the tension on the return cable is weak. The rubber platen has some hardening from age, but not extreme. The unit does NOT have a ribbon installed (they are available on eBay and elsewhere for around $10 to 20). The unit dates to 1918. It features a carriage that folds over to make it more compact and portable. It has a Machine Age body style with curvy streamlined features, and with light colored metal-trimmed keys marked with black letters. It features a 10-pitch (Pica) type size. The typewriter comes WITHOUT the original case (will be packed with the machine immobilized to prevent damage).Be sure to check out my full typewriter inventory of various makes and ages.
