Description: There is not much history with this company. We don’t know who Parker was. The marketing was mainly through trade cards by Hiscox and Co in New York. I do know it was a successful product based on our digging finds. The bottle is strong and heavy so many of them survived. The bottle stands 6 ½” tall and 2 ½” across. It is embossed on the side and front panels “PARKERS HAIR BALSAM NEW YORK” with the base embossed with two small triangles. It is early 1920s. This one is exceptional. Most are typical dark amber. This one is a deep red amber. It is an early machine-made example, and the process was quite imperfect. The glass is wavy and flawed with subtle lines from the neck down that look like undissolved coloring. It is a color and texture that I haven’t seen before. If you are a hair bottle collector or have other Parker’s, you need this one!
