This exquisite piece dates from the 19th century and was made by one of the many shops located at the Palais Royal in Paris. The box is petite and delicate and made of gilt bronze ormolu. The whimsical design features a rectangular-from body with rounded ends, with a stacked coiled-like design on the body and lid. The lid is decorated with a charming, colorful cloisonne leaf. The box is supported by four small sphere feet. This precious piece will make a wonderful addition to any collection! The box presents well and is in good antique condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. The frame has a few minor distortions, some tarnish/wear, the interior lacks its fabric lining. Please review all photos before purchasing. Thank you!
