There are over 60 small compartments inside the various drawers and all have different depths and dimensions for smaller precision tools needed in the dental industry. It is constructed of solid wood and was hand built very evident by all the pencil scribings on it with part numbers when you take it apart and look at it. All 12 drawers are mortised with rails on the inner cabinet and smoothly operate on the sides of each cabinet. There are set screws so the drawers will not be pulled all the way out. They can be turned in or out depending on your function needs. It has continuous corner guards stainless steel on all four corners. The box measures 16 and x16 by 9 in deep and weighs 20 lb empty. It comes emptied and wiped out. This cabinet is in excellent condition for its age. Guessing it's right around 80 to 90 years old. All the hardware is original and functional. The only thing I don't have is a key, but I did use a small screwdriver and was able to turn the lock mechanism. I'm sure maybe a modified suitcase key or something would work fine in it if needed.
