Description: This antique cast iron trivet is unusual in that it contains so many traditional decorative items. In the center is the radiating sunburst with a ten point star. On the top is the fleur de lis and on the bottom there is the double heart. The sides have the decorative rope edge. The back contains another and unusual ten point star. Also on the back are the initials EM which we speculate stands for the Enterprise Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which is known to have made other trivets & ironware. The EM makes this a rare find. This trivet is from the early 1900's and is in excellent condition. It measures 9.75" x 5.5" x 1.25".
