Antique Book "Sunshine for Little Children" Illustrated, Published 1887

Description: This stunning Antique Book "Sunshine for Little Children" Illustrated, Published 1887, has been in my family for years - an heirloom! It is a large book (13 1/2" in height and 11" in width). It is in amazing condition, given its age. A beautifully colored front cover in brilliant red featuring a young child. The back cover features a number of different young boys and girls with a center illustration of a young girl opening her stocking on Christmas morning! There are a few scratches on the front cover, but the spine is in solid condition as is the back. The inside pages have no staining or tears - it is in remarkable condition....a treasured piece. I've included a number of photos of the inside illustrations - they are illustrations on wood (originally) by eminent artists and are spectacular. There are many more that I have not included. These illustrations surround a number of classic child's tales. This book was published in 1887 by the Sunshine Publishing Company. It has been in smoke-free homes since it was purchased in 1888. The last page in the book lists some acknowledgements by various people....and at the top, written in pencil is "Christmas 1888" (See last two photos)....this is apparently when it was gifted to my great grandmother!
