Description: This is a wonderful Antique Silver Betel Nut Box from Burma (Myanmar). This delicately repoussed Silver Container dates from approximately the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Please note the Burmese script on the underside of the container typical of silver pieces of this type. This particular box was purchased by my father in Bangkok’s well established Silver / Jewelry District bordered by Silom Road and Surawong Road in the vicinity of the Oriental Hotel. Please review all pictures closely in regards to condition of this box. The box has NOT been polished and retains its original antique patina. Applying silver polish would drastically change the box’s appearance if you prefer a shinier / newer looking piece. Box Dimensions: 4 3/8 inches in Diameter & 4 inches high.
