It also has a pair of cranes and tortoise, the elements of eternal life, and a lion. The "fish eye" unglazed area on the bottom was a unique kiln footing design found on late Edo to early Meiji era pottery It measures approximately 18" in diameter by 2.25" tall (39 x 5 cm). And weighs over 6lbs.
