Description: Antique c. 1900 Art Nouveau William Kerr Sterling Silver Vanity Hair Brush This is a beautiful Antique c. 1900 Art Nouveau William Kerr Sterling Silver Vanity Hair Brush. Measuring 9 1/2" high x 4" wide and weighing 186.7 grams. The brush has a repousse design of an Art Nouveau woman with long flowing hair, flowers, stems and vines. Signed on the side STERLING with the William B. Kerr maker's mark and 1447, the model number. Condition is very, very good. There are a few small dings around the side of the brush and handle. The repousse work on the top looks pretty clean with no dents. It's in really good condition considering most of these have small dings all over and this one has some only on the sides. The bristles of the brush are full and I did not notice any loss. There some minor age discoloration to the bristles. Enlarge photos to see details.
