Description: Antique US Cavalry Soldier CABINET CARD PHOTO Portrait Troop M, 2nd US Cavalry Regiment This is a fine antique cabinet card type studio portrait photo of a handsome young US Cavalry soldier in uniform from around 1890 to 1900. The crossed saber cap emblem with the number 2 above the letter M indicates he was a member of Troop M of the 2nd US Cavalry Regiment. The fine 125 or so year old cabinet card measures about 5 x 7 inches and the front side has a surface that is embossed to look like black taffeta fabric. The original oval photo is about 5 inches tall. Our photos show the actual antique cabinet card we offer for sale. It was clearly stored flat and away from light and is in very nice condition.
