A few have stains or foxing. Owner’s name and address written on first blank page. Front cover and Back cover detached. Last page of index ends with the vegetables category recipes. Not sure if there was last page that could be missing. Inside the book is a “Mother’s Coupon” to save and redeem for many items listed on the coupon. Also two coupons to order rings using click faces cut from Nine O’Clock Washing Tea. 440 pages. Book measures approximately 8.25” x 6”. A few of the recipes include turtle soup, huckleberry cake, jumbles, currant wine, London hot cross buns, grape wine, honey or Methelin wine, Christmas plum pudding, piccalili, green tomato pickles, chow chow pickles ( English recipe), East India pickle, Queen’s cake, canned tomatoes, Washington pie, and many more unique and common recipes. Also a few recipes for poultices and health remedies. Also ways to keep fruit, eggs, meat. Book should be handled with care especially in the beginning and last pages.
