Description: This listing is for a fantastic, old, brass ? plaque, which I believe hung at a Post Office back in the day. I originally thought this great piece was from a bank, however it is nearly identical to a POSTMASTER plaque that sold in a different Ebay auction, item # 326078225287. I do not know how long post offices have been offering money orders. This plaque measures approximately 12-5/8 inches long and 2-1/4 inches wide. The brass is thick. There is a small stamp mark on the back – 25525. The second to last number is the hardest to read. It might be a 2 or 3 or 8. I was going to clean the plaque up and make it shine, but decided I would let lucky winner decide if they wanted to do that or keep the original patina. This is a beauty collectors! Thank you.
