Description: Antique Cast Iron Utilitarian Office INKWELL & Pen Rest, Art Nouveau Scollwork Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE PEN REST & INKWELL Wonderful antique cast iron inkstand measuring approximately 4-1/2" long, 4" wide and about 2" deep. Featuring a canted, hexagonal shape with raised scrollwork designs in the Art Nouveau style, it has a molded waterfall front with notching for holding three pens. Condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage - inner lid reflects surface rust - does not show when inkwell is closed and I think this can be removed or negated with 0000 steel wool. This belonged to, and sat on, my Great-Grandfather's office desk - he ran a small oil company in Ohio around the turn of last century.
