Description: Antique Cheddar Yellow & Red Chained 5-Patch Quilt This listing is for an antique Chained 5-Patch quilt. The pattern is also known as Mrs. Hoover's Colonial Quilt, Double Irish Chain, and Nellie's Choice. There is a small label on the back naming the quilt Jacob's Ladder; however, the design does not resemble any Jacob's Ladder pattern that I have in my referenced. Judging by the fabrics used, I would estimate the quilt to be from the late 1800s. The quilt measures approximately 83" X 90". It has been gently used. There are some small light spots that I have not tried to clean. Portions of the binding are slightly dirty from handling. I have seen no holes, worn spots, or fabric deterioration. Some of the Cheddar Yellow is a different dye lot than other pieces. Tiny quilting stitches measure approximately 16 stitches per inch, counting both the top and bottom stitches. This colorful quilt would make an excellent addition to your collection. I appreciate that buyers would like to buy for the best price possible, but half-price offers are never considered or acknowledged. Thanks for understanding.
