Description: This is a Large Antique Chinese Blue & White Porcelain "Double Happiness" Ginger Jar with Lid. This Jar has the Double Happiness Calligraphy in 4 places around the Jar and on the Lid. The Pot is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. ***NOTE The lid has a minor old chip on the inside rim. It is somewhat rare for these old pots to still have a lid. The lid is often lost or broken. The minor chip is shown in the last picture. There are some minor manufacturing flaws which are common on these antique Jars. This Jar is 9 1/2" tall. The Jar is about 10" in diameter at the widest point. The base is 7 3/4" in diameter. The Lid is 4 3/4" in diameter. The Jar and lid weigh 6 LB 14 OZ. I bought this Ginger jar at a high-end auction which advertised the jar as "Qing" dynasty. I do not know what they based this on, but this auction house has a reputation for giving very good descriptions. Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. I cannot know everything about every item I offer, I do inspect each item and list all known flaws or damage.
