Description: 8 panel folding coromandel screen. This is two 4 piece panels that come together to create the 8. Both sides of the screen depict Chinese nobles and their ladies in court attire, in palaces, tea gardens, obverse side depicts flowers, inland sea, nobles. Base of the screen depicts various flowers, vase, maybe 4 season stylized flowers. This had a card along time ago that stated this was originally from Honolulu, Hawaii belonged to a lady in waiting ( seamstress) to the late Queen Lilioukalani thru family history. My clients grandmother acquired this in the 1950’s.
