You can see the painting through the cup when you hold it to the light as it's so thin. The painting is of birds in nature with flowers and trees. It's marked on the bottom but unfortunately I can't read it to know what It says. It comes in a red with gold botanical detail in a satin type fabric box to protect the cup. This came to me from an estate with many quality antique and vintage Asian items. The cup has a little wear around the rim but I can't see any chips or cracks. The box has some wear and staining.
