Description: This fabulous antique Chinese box has four compartments that have separate lids of carved jade. The box appears to be made of copper, perhaps over some other type of metal, and is exquisitely engraved. The engraving covers the sides of the box and around the framing of the carved jade lids. The carved jade lids have wonderful detail and glass on the back to protect the jade. This box may have been a humidor or perhaps a jewelry box or container for other small items of value. The box measures 1.75" in height. It's 7.5" long by 5.5" wide. It's heavy, weighing more than two pounds. It's in excellent condition. It's a rare find and exceptionally beautiful!
