Description: Very rare and delightful old game made by Russell Mfg. Co. (not to be confused with Russell Playing Card Co.) c.1931, called "The Comical Game of Whip." It consists of 8 sets of 4 identical illustrated cards. Each of the 8 sets has whip, whipped, or whipping in the title: Whip-Poor-Will, Wind Whipped, Carpet Whipping, Just Whipped, Whipping Daddy, Afraid of Whip, Whip Dreams, and Never Whipped – the “Never Whipped” family showing an early portrait of Uncle Sam. The cards are measuring approx. 3.5" x 2.5". No box.The cards have been well used, with age-related discoloration and light soiling in few places. However, the cards are unusual enough that they may be of interest to those who collect “families” type card games.
