Description: This is a finelate 1800's to early 1900's D. Malloch wooden hand plane.The plane is engraved (signed) byD. Malloch & Son with their trade mark barely visible on the toe. The cutter is rusty & pitted andwould need to be cleaned & sharpened for optimal performance. It measures approximately: 8" L. x 2.75" W. The plane has some scars, spatters, dings & nicks from age & use. A good cleaning by someone who knows what they're doing might bring the trade mark back to life. R. FENWICK is engraved twice on the toe and once on the heel. I don't know who R. FENWICK was, but I suspect this plane was either made for him/her or they added their name at a later date. There are several R. Fenwick's in Great Britain around that time (and since), so I don't want to speculate as to the previous owners.
