Great for decorum or repain if desired for use. lamp is definitely from before 1892 as after 1892 The Rochester lamp company switched manufacturers and started marking their lamps "New Rochester" where as the pre 1982 lamps where marked "The Rochester " see last photo for article clipping regarding year.
