Description: Offered is a wonderful antique, hand-carved 2 piece wood mold stamp press slab from Korea. This is a rice cake or cookie press that was hand-carved from a hard wood that has great patina. The base measures 13” in length – 2 1/4” in width - 1/2" thick. It has a hole on each end, The top slab measures 10 3/4” in length - 2 1/4” in width - 3/4” thick. A special aspect of this carved stamp press is that this is a double wood press with a top slab that comes down over the tall floral pinwheel carvings.The slabs do easily come apart. The wood shows wear appropriate to its age with small gouges, scratches and cracks. Please look carefully at the photos.
