Description: Exceptionally rare early Jaques London Chess Set with entered label number 1513. Boxwood and ebony unweighted with King measuring 3.5 inches. All pieces are original and in original unrestored condition. The set is in pristine undamaged condition except for a small chip to the top of the black queen and minor ear loss on the black knights. The box has a slight warp to the lid. The set comes with it's key as well however mechanism does not work. Felts all original and in great condition, 1 lozenge is still present on one of the pawns. The board is for display only and not included in the sale.
