Description: This Beautiful original silk embroidery watercolor painting is a must have for any collector. It has original framework that is in remarkably good condition considering its age. This piece was sold at some point and time by a rare book shop in New Work operated by Edgar Huidekoper Wells (1875-1938; A.B. 1897) operated Edgar H. Wells and Company, a rare book shop in New York City, from 1921 to 1938. This piece features the original sticker on the back by above company as well as some other markings. I believe Edgar H. Wells & Co refurbished and resold this item. Wells was a rare book dealer and educator; held various positions at Harvard, including instructor in English (1902-1906); curator of modern English literature in the library (1903-1913); and assistant dean (1905-1907). He operated Edgar H. Wells and Company, a book shop in New York City, from 1921 to 1938. There is a tear on the back of the original paper backing but none is missing. Don't miss your chance to get your hands on this wonderful piece of history that is sure to be a conversation piece.
