The coloring of the mother of pearl and abalone is of top quality and quite radiant, especially under bright lighting. Overall the box is in good condition for age considering the fragility of the shell veneer. The exterior has normal wear from handling, some small scattered losses, scattered small restorations, light patination to exterior, etc. The top left abalone inlay on the lid is not missing, it’s just the color/texture in the photo.
