Description: Offered here is this Antique Footed Chafing Base. It is a silverplate piece that is hallmarked inside all three legs with F.S. & Co. It appears to be silverplate over brass. It is in very good condition, with no real dents or dings, but it could use a good polishing. I am unsure of the age of the piece, or the pattern name. It is 6.5” tall, 5.75” in diameter at the top, about 3.25” in diameter at the bottom platform where the fuel would sit and is 5” across the foot span. It is a beautiful old silverplate piece with ornate detail that would be a wonderful addition to your silverplate collection.
