From information gleaned the origin is fromv a Western Canada Ford Dealership in the early 1900s. It was always thought to be a step plate, however I have been unable to positively identify the item. It is, in my opinion too light to have been part of a leaf spring which it closely resembles. Anyone out there who knows: Let us know what it is please!!
