Description: Rare Chambersburg PA Cumberland Valley Hose CO 5 (Broad Street) and Frederick MD MUG. Comes with historical info as shown. To Summarize the Mug was originally owned by Dani Anthoney who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the building that is now the Professional Art Building. When either she or her roommate passed, the mug was given to a granddaughter. She was on a drill team that was part of the fire station in Chambersburg. They went to a fair/parade in Frederick in 1903 and won the price. The price is mentioned on the side of the cup: COnduct$25, Drill $100 $125. The logo of the CV Fire Company is emblazoned on the front. The side says Park Hotel Look for the gals. The bottom has 10 cents Market house (with another word on it). The mug is ceramic and almost 4 1/2" tall. It weighs about 3/4 of a pound and I do not see any cracks though it has a lot of crazing common with 100+ year old ceramic.
