Description: Antique French Ceramic Plate Battle Scene C. 1840 P & H Choisy Wonderful early French faience pottery transfer ware plates depicting a batle scene. Measures 8" ( 20.5 cm ) in diameter and is black and white transfer. Cream ware plate is bordered with an embossed design of flower. Impressed on the reverse "P&H Choisy", the plates dates to the 1840s, and is in good, as found estate condition, with 1 tiny chip of one of the plates , no ckracks just some surface scratching from use on the front, and areas of wear to the reverse.
