The large tripod footed box features an intricate arabesque design that is sure to catch the eye, with its polychrome enamels and stylized foilage. The enamel decoration on the box is all outlined with intricate decorative engraving. The box is surely "Barbedienne" (although not marked). The box is in excellent condition. No missing enamel, no dings or bad scratches. The gilt is stunning. The interior is lined in a tufted beige silk/satin in amazing condition with no deterioration or stains. Shows very light wear and rubbing. Measures 5" diameter and 2.75" high.
