Description: Absolutely fabulous length of French cotton tapestry jacquard fabric from the latter 1800's to first part of the 1900's. Stunning piece done in an overall floral roses, swags & garlands pattern. Fabulous shades of autumnal hues; warm browns, from chestnut to more of a cinnamon, apricot, copper & olive. Again, somewhat hard to capture fully. O've tried in several natural light settings. Rich warm earthy tones. The ground was also a bit hard to capture but is a deep latte color. Really wonderful variation, truly gorgeous in person, very rich. So much lovelier in person, refined. Pieces like this are excellent for period smaller upholstery, windows, pillows, table pieces as well as bags/totes etc.. Condition is very nice on this, especially given it's age. Probably lightly used in it's lifetime. Appears overall very good with a bit of old age tanning which really sort of blends in due to the palette.I have not laundered this though these old cotton tapestries launder beautifully as I have washed many in the past using a delicate detergent such as woolite and washed on a hand wash cycle, machine or air dried. Measures 24 inches wide by 26 inches long ~ I can keep up to "2" uncut (so up to 24" wide by 52" long can be sent in one length). Many thanks! ?
