Description: Antique German Bisque Head AM Doll 11" ARMAND MARSEILLE 971. Adorable little character 971 bisque doll. Nice cabinet size of 11 inches tall. The bisque face great condition but does have a chip left back of ear damage. The compo body has aging wear crazing and looks to have been repainted at one time in its life. The string of doll is good and is able to hold a pose. Baby doll is dressed as found in nice traditional German type Lederhosen dress with shirt and under panties, shoes. The outfit appears newer to the doll. The under panties material feels like paper material and has a little hole in back at the butt. The doll is wearing a nice brown wig synthetic material which has been added. Doll shoes are on very tight so did not take off. Lovely glass brown sleep eyes with painted eyelashes, open mouth with upper teeth and dimple chin. Incise back of head "Germany 971 A 3/0 M. DRGM 267". Note the 971 is very faintly shown.
