The top of the handle is done in a decorative, shell form and the back has a Gothic style monogram of the initials ACN. The ruffled, pierced ladle has a gold wash.The back is marked for Gorham, patent 1861, sterling silver purity and has a retailer's mark for Dexter & Haskins.
