Description: Antique, historical Washington/Taylor double sided glass flask in a light aquamarine blue. This is a beautiful, clean, antique, light aquamarine blue glass pontil flask with a bust of President George Washington with "The Father of our Country" embossed over his head on one side and a bust of President Zachary Taylor on the other with "Gen. Taylor Never Surrenders" embossed over his head. Probably made at the Dyottville Glass Works in Philadelphia. Shows fine detail with good relief. No cracks or chips. 6 7/8" tall. 12-13 ounces. Embossed on the "front" is a left-facing bust of George Washington, hair down to his neck and with seemingly a classical robe or toga flowing around his shoulder. High relief detail visible to his hair, nose, brow, everything. All within a large embossed oval panel. Embossed on the "back" is a left-facing bust of President Zachary Taylor. Short hair and wearing a military uniform, with a tie and four buttons visible down his front, and a tassel on his shoulder. High relief detail to absolutely all of Mr. Taylor. All within a large embossed oval panel. Double wrapped, double bubble wrapped, and double boxed with bubble wrap between the boxes. 2lb 3oz boxed.
