Description: Antique original handwoven, classic large rectangular basket box lidded treasure storage box basket. Displayed only for years out of sun. However due to age natural fading, some minor loss to closure tabs, dusty, but otherwise given its age a spectacular example of handwoven straw/raffia by an accomplished artisan from long ago. Measurements: 18" long - handle to handle, 9 1/2" tall 11 1/2" deep. Liquidating a large three generation estate and one member was a serious collector of Mexican art/artifacts. This large lidded treasure storage basket was a favorite. Kept out of sun but there is some fading due to age and its antiquity. Minor loss of wrap around two closure tabs...displayed this way for years and not noticeable.Will be sold in as is as found condition and not returnable.
