Description: This is an original antique (early 20th century) cast iron stool with embroidered top featuring a vase of flowers over checkered background. The maker's name and location is displayed in raised letters on all three legs (Ideal of Detroit, Mi, Windsor, Canada). The stool is in very good condition and is sturdy, solid, and fully functional. The legs are all securely attached and not loose or wobbly, and the top looks very good considering age. There are a few threads missing in the embroidery, but no holes or other major damage. The outer edge of the seat is covered in black velvet that has lost some of its plush. The legs have probably been repainted and there are some chips in the paint along the edges. The stool measures 14 1/2" in diameter x about 15 1/4" H and will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Advertised shipping cost covers shipping within the lower 48 states only.
