Description: Approx 5.5 ” tall, 6” long with handle, 4” wide Impressed stamp to base; Ironstone China Minor wear/marks as pictured Overall in excellent antique condition! Early 19th century ironstone jug/pitcher Hand painted and made, English Staffordshire in the late Georgian period, circa 1820 Octagonal in shape with an excellently detailed dragon shaped loop handle, very much in the Mason's Ironstone style of their Fenton shaped jugs. It has a typical bold hand painted Japanese Imari style pattern, heavily influenced by previous original designs in the Chinese taste and is very similar to Masons "Jardinere" pattern.
