Description: One (1) unusual antique Japanese inro. Five section inro surrounded by a sleeve and decorated with pierced Mons on each side. Very good ojimi of a lacquer berry with a copper top. Bone Manju netsuke with dark wood or horn insert. Late Edo to Meiji Period- 1800-1912. Good condition- minor wear. Gold lacquer worn through in several places, especially on the reverse (see pictures). One section has chip on edge (see picture #12). One crack on and small chips on netsuke (see picture #5). Inro measures 4 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches thick. Ojimi measures 3/4 inch long and 1/2 inch at widest point. Netsuke measures 1 1/4 inches wide and 7/8 inch thick.
