Antique Landscape Painting from Amsterdam signed by L. Oldemboom Engbertsen 1940

Description: Welcome and thank you for visiting my auction. For your consideration of this original signed antique landscape that was purchased by my great uncle in Amsterdam around 1940. My great aunt was closing down her estate and she gave me some art to sell for her. She was not very clear on the history of the artist. I did research, and I could not find much information about the artist. However, I was able to find out that the art supply house where the frame came from and the hardboard came from was founded in 1895 in Amsterdam and the name of the art supply house is JH VanBeek. This is a very lovely painting that is charming and whimsical. The frame and the painting do have a little bit of a patina which just gives the piece extra charm. I’m taking a chance and selling it at this price which is a nice deal! The painting which is on hardboard measures approximately 12 inches x 16 inches, and the frame measures approximately 16 inches x 19 inches.
