Description: Workpiece capacity is just under 3”. All the nuts and bolts present for use, main nut for opening the mechanism has been replaced with a wing nut for faster workpiece access. Surface rust present, but nothing major, I put some oil on the threads of a screw and it all but disappeared. This tool helps keep longer pieces from wobbling and or coming loose. Great tool for safety and accuracy. I have an antique cast iron wood lathe, and this came with it when I purchased, but I think this type of steady rest is for metal workpieces? Either way I don’t turn long stuff, so time to pass it on.
