Description: Antique Lusterware 2 Plates & 4 Matching Cups Pink Roses Leuchtenburg Germany For consideration are 2 antique lusterware plates and 4 matching cups made by C.A. Lehmann & Sohn in Germany sometime between 1891 and 1918. These pieces have pink roses surrounded by greenery, embossed dots and scrolls around the rim and green lusterware accents. The plates measure 8¼ inches in diameter. The backs are marked in green ink with “Leuchtenburg”, a castle logo and “Germany”. The cups measure 2¾ inches tall, the mouths measure 3¼ inches in diameter and the bases measure 2 inches. The cups are marked the same as the plates. All the pieces are in excellent antique condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, scratches, discoloration or crazing noted. Buyer will pay shipping on a 4 pound box. Thank you for looking! NOTE: C.A. Lehmann & Sohn was established 1895 and closed 1937. They were founded as a porcelain decorating shop by Carl August Lehmann and Paul Zierold in 1885. Located at Kahla, Thuringia, Germany, the studio saw immediate growth, and after a decade of success, the firm expanded in 1895, producing fine porcelain specifically for export. The C.A. Lehmann & Sons mark, features a castle turret with an arched Leuchtenburg at the top and Germany (circa 1891-1918) at the bottom. A “Made In Germany” mark was used circa 1919-1935. In 1935, C.A. Lehmann merged with the Franz Bauer Porcelain Manufactory (1927 - 1935) becoming Bauer & Lehmann.
