Description: Antique Mauchline Ware cotton reel/Trinket Box. Good brass hinge and front clasp. The picture to the top is worn with age and I cannot decipher the town/city as it is too worn. Lovely little old box that has been used as a pen nib/ink cartridge box, hence the ink to the inside. The condition apart from the outside wear and ink is good. Size approximately: Height 1.25” (3.25cm) Length 2.5” (6.5cm) Width 1.75” (4.5cm) I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish, as some customers, especially prop buyers, prefer an original patina.
