Description: A big Chinese Swatow (Zhangshou) 'Double bird' dish (or shallow bowl) decorated in overglaze polychromy in red, green and turquoise. 17th century, late Ming dynasty. Very rare! Decorated in the center with two birds and two large flowers, border with eight reserves with flowers. Kiln grid visible on the bottom. Dimensions: diameter - 26 cm; height - 4 cm. Conditions report: dish in good condition for the age, craquelure to the glaze (glaze cracks), firing cracks, scratches and wear to the glaze, wear to the painted decor and firing faults.
