Description: Antique Miniature Wild Tom Turkey, 1920s, Composite 2.5" long, 2" tallMy father had many small toys like this which he kept from his childhood in the 1920s. We used to bring them out at Christmas to display and sometimes play with them. This brightly painted antique wild turkey figure is very detailed for its small size. It's a male turkey that appears to be made of composite materials or maybe plaster of paris. There are no marks indicating where he was made. His legs are some type of soft, slightly flexible metal, maybe lead. His body is hand painted in black with gold, silvery gray, white, copper, and red details which was hand painted. There is small play related chip on his beak and his tail feathers have paint missing on the underside where they have been reattached. See photos for more detail.
