Description: Antique NORITAKE CHINA "Sedan" Pattern #D1441 Salad Plates. Eight plates are available and are priced per plate. Pattern Description: Pink & Blue Flowers On Cream Rim, Smooth Edge, Gold Trim. Made in Japan. This pattern is discontinued; it was introduced in ca. 1911. Maker's Marks: These plates have a printed Green Letter "M" (as in "Morimura") surrounded by a wreath. This is surrounded by red printed "NORITAKE" in capitals above, and below, also in capitals, "HAND PAINTED" and "NIPPON". According to the Noritake Collectors Guild - Backmarks Knowledge Library, this mark is from ca. 1914. Measurements: 7-5/8" in Width. Condition: Very good 110 year old condition. Light wear to the gold trim and light utensil marks may be present. A couple of plates have flea bite chips on the edge. See photos.
