Description: Antique oak puzzle box was patented in 1889 and made to hold sewing machine accessories. Once the simple clip at the opening is unjooked, the sides of the box open/unroll to lie flat. Inside, on a very worn velvet bed, there are very old seeing machine accessories. It is not a complete set. The box is almost 3.5 inches high. It is 6.5 inches wide. When opened, it is 13 inches long. With its patent stamped on its top, it is a fascinating glimpse of antique ingenuity. The box is sturdy and in very good condition.
